Manual Lymph Drainage

Improve your circulatory system
The lymphatic system is a subsystem of the circulatory system in the vertebrate body that consists of a complex network of vessels, tissues, and organs. It helps maintain fluid balance in the body by collecting excess fluid and particulate matter from tissues and depositing them in the bloodstream. Sometimes the lymphatic system can experience blockages that can cause swelling and soreness (also known as lymphedema).

Manual Lymphatic drainage or MLD is a very light hands on treatment technique for mobilizing stagnant fluid and cellular debris towards specific lymph nodes to reduce swelling and promote detoxification.
The light hands on technique simulates the body's natural rhythms and uses specific routes to mobilize lymph fluid, targeting the superficial lymphatic capillaries.
MLD is very beneficial post surgery and often recommended after cosmetic surgery procedures to speed up recovery. It flushes out fluid and cellular debris reducing swelling and pain and helping to prevent fibrosis (scar tissue development under the skin.)
Multiple consecutive treatments are recommended for the first several weeks for best results.
MLD is very effective for the management of autoimmune diseases such as Lupus, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and chronic fatigue syndrome by aiding in the flow of lymph and reducing the severity of autoimmune responses. It can also be very beneficial for anyone suffering from Lyme disease in promoting better detoxification.
